About Me

My photo
Hey, what's up everyone. If you've made it to this blog by chance, then your destiny has been realized and you were meant to read this. I'm a hunter of "things". I go out into the vast world near me or the net and track down only the best things you'll ever want to listen to, see, read, and enjoy. I'm not like other people where if you watch a movie, you'll figure out the genre. That's how different I think I am. I love art (I sketch and paint from time to time), and I'm a big kid at heart who loves his skullcandy headphones. Stick around and find something good. And I urge you to be a scavenger of "things" for yourself. Discover it first, then try it later.

I went. I saw. I bought. I left victorious.

Last saturday, I stopped by Chapters Bookstore to find some good reads like I normally do. I was in the mood to get something along the lines of my favorite sport, mixed martial arts. Then I saw it. The book mentioned somewhere in the media whirlpool. I almost forgot it even existed.

For any real MMA fans, you gotta have this great collection of well-put, well-organized photographic book by Kevin Lynch called, Octagon. The stunning action within the pages left me dazed at how well they were taken....+5 points for Mr. Lynch.

It's a massive hardcover with just about 400 pages of triumphant [and not-so-victorious] fighers. Some of the stuff featured in this book are quotes from the fighters themselves, before and afters pictures, a special commentary by UFC President Dana White, and plenty more. It should be at a local bookstore near you if it hasn't sold out of copies (there were 2 left when I went), but I urge you to get it if you want to keep memories of some of the greatest moments and fighters in full-contact sport history.

I got it, and it motivates me to just keep fighting, or keep fit to fight the good fight. One of these days I will learn Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I WILL LEARN! If only Tasso (the head guy at my gym) could convince GSP's trainer to come and open up that BJJ class he's been meaning to hold.

Other news, only 8 more days till the North American release of inFAMOUS. A game so strongly packed with a huge threshold of visual effects and lacking in damage-proof environments with good enough graphics and parkour action (if you're into flying from building to building).Director Nate Fox really did produce a game that, I think, will probably be a household name amongst gamers alike. You have the developers at Sucker Punch Productions to thank for that. Remember, game comes out May 26th for Playstation 3.

Also a game I'm looking forward to in May which has already been released is UFC: Undisputed. I know...I know. I talk way too much about MMA, but once you experience the 30,000 polygon count from over 100 fighters, you won't regret it! It's out in stores now for XBOX 360 and PS3.

Here is some gameplay footage of inFAMOUS just for you fans (refresh the page if you can't see the footage):

And quick & random question...Does anyone else think Megan Fox looks like an other-racial version of Meagan Good??? This question just came up as I was thinking of Megan Fox's Esquire photoshoot...discretion advised...for females...I joke! God, bless You for Megan Fox and Meagan Good.
