About Me

My photo
Hey, what's up everyone. If you've made it to this blog by chance, then your destiny has been realized and you were meant to read this. I'm a hunter of "things". I go out into the vast world near me or the net and track down only the best things you'll ever want to listen to, see, read, and enjoy. I'm not like other people where if you watch a movie, you'll figure out the genre. That's how different I think I am. I love art (I sketch and paint from time to time), and I'm a big kid at heart who loves his skullcandy headphones. Stick around and find something good. And I urge you to be a scavenger of "things" for yourself. Discover it first, then try it later.

Mayra Andrade and Park Sunsets

Hey guys. Man, I had the best Saturday I think I've ever had. I went to Parc de la Merci and climbed a tree (pics are up at the top). I watched the sun set, feed some ducks and even saw an otter swim by, which was pretty cool. And I kept listening to this week's "Song of the Week".

Lua by Mayra Andrade. The Cuban-born, German, Cape Verdean, Angolian, Senegalian songstress performs more to jazz-based insrtuments packed with some latin influences. Take a listen:

And have you ever wanted to write a book, but you just couldn't stick to it...well try thoughts.com. A great place to start with the added benefit of motivating comments from fellow bloggers and writers. So far, I've been able to get into the book-writing ordeal, and it's proving to be tough, but worthy of my time.

Speaking of books, I happened to be sitting by a really cute chick who was holding this 'out-of-this-world' book called Bay Area Graffiti by Photographer Steve Rotman and Chris Brennan. It's an amazingly vibrant and detialed book and I will get it just to show you how amazing the book is.

Finally, just to put this to rest. Matt Hughes is not going to retire out of mixed martial arts. It's been talked about already and Hughes still believes he has some more fight left in him. And he does. With a record of 43-7 and having just made a triumphant victory against Matt Sera in UFC 98 (which I am very satisfied with) he still has more to prove. I'm sure Dana White feels the same way, no doubt. He did say, I quote, "I definitely still want to compete. I still think I’m competitive in the weight division, so we’ll keep going."

Thank you Sherdog for this much needed clarification. I still wanna see Hughes go for it. Let the good guys get their hands dirty some more.
